Jallikattu is one of the oldest sports in India, if not the oldest. Believed to have first been practised more than 2,000 years ago, this dare devil sport has become part of the tradition during the annual Pongal festival in Tamil Nadu. It involves men trying to hang onto the hump of untamed bulls.
